This came to me from Mark Ippolito, via Facebook actually, lol. Great information about the changing landscape of communication

I have seen this video a few times now. Both this quarter and last and I have torn feelings on it. While I understand that social media is taking over how people communicate I worry that as a species, humans will soon begin to lose all person-to-person interaction and communication skills. I have already seen people who are sitting right next to one another pull out their phones and start texting, or people in the same house talking through an instant messenger or facebook instead of sitting down face to face.
While feel it is important to have these social medias on the web for your business and marketing of your business, the more contacts you have out there the better, but at the same time the world feels like it is turning to everyone being hooked up, plugged in, logged on and logged in.
What skills and experiences are we losing form this? Are we willing to sacrifice face to face interaction with other people for the sake of doing better in our businesses?
