I like what I see it's a very interesting video..

What I like about is that I saw how to shoot a runner like that, how to use the light to get a different look.

If will be pretty tight if the mags move like that but how expensive will it be and where to dispose of them etc.

*Some of the things Brittany Bailey mentioned* She left a great comment.

Way to go Rick. Right on! I couldn't agree more. All I keep hearing as I travel and talk to other togs around the country is.... "the way it used to be" or "in the good old days"..... and all I can think of saying when I hear that is.... GET OVER IT! Find a way to move on and quit holding on to the past. The one constant in life is change so, if we can't get used to it, it will be a hard lesson to learn. Keep expanding your boundaries. Thanks for the good post and the kick in the ass.

I like this post. I think it is possible to change the way people look at things if it is fun. It would be interesting if something like this happened in Seattle or even in our school! Though I think most kids take the stairs because the elevators are much to slow for most of their liking.

I think the lesson to take from this is not only to make things fun for people but to market and promote your business in a way people find fun with out them knowing that is your goal.

Okay. I have watched this countless times on my own and as of Tuesday have seen it in two of my classes. I have been reading But is it Art? for my humanities class and the last chapter I read (chapter five) covered on this topic as well. Honestly I can not get enough of these words, even if some say it is just a coping strategy to deal with the stress of being one in a creative field I love the under lying and over all message of keep showing up and doing your job. It is your work and you need to push through it good or bad. I also really like the idea of putting the being or creativity outside of you. Not that I would turn and say it is not my fault because my genus did not show up if I bombed a shoot, but the idea of it being something outside of me really helps to take the stress off of my mind and make it so I can work better.
So far it has worked on a few assignments I have done so I feel it is something I will stick with for the time being.

I really like this shot. The lighting on it is wonderful, very fitting for the image of stairs that seem to be long ago abandoned. My favorite part are the different colors in the textures, be it moss, rust or just dirt and grime. Beautiful shot!

I agree with the last statement in this post: "he only way out, I think, is for a few marketers to so overwhelm the market with long-term, generous marketing that we have no choice but to start paying attention again." The person or people who take the time and effort and spend the money to market something good, and do it in the right way is the only way to gain back peoples trusts. Being overwhelming is one way to push people in to things but this would be a push in the right direction.
The down side of this is that some people would tire of the marking rather quickly, but as we have seen if people are beaten over the head enough with one message they will start to pay attention. Getting these markets out on the web so there is no escape from them, as many marketers do, will also force people to see. TV, Radio, Web, Mail, billboards, adds in news papers, magazines, large word of mouth. There are many ways to get a message out there, it is just a matter of getting people to listen because as said above to many people have been ripped off and no longer have the trust they used to have.

I have seen this video a few times now. Both this quarter and last and I have torn feelings on it. While I understand that social media is taking over how people communicate I worry that as a species, humans will soon begin to lose all person-to-person interaction and communication skills. I have already seen people who are sitting right next to one another pull out their phones and start texting, or people in the same house talking through an instant messenger or facebook instead of sitting down face to face.
While feel it is important to have these social medias on the web for your business and marketing of your business, the more contacts you have out there the better, but at the same time the world feels like it is turning to everyone being hooked up, plugged in, logged on and logged in.
What skills and experiences are we losing form this? Are we willing to sacrifice face to face interaction with other people for the sake of doing better in our businesses?

We watched this video in class last week. I enjoyed it but I do not know how realistic it is. With more and more magazines coming out of print, as I believe Taylor had said at one point, it does not seem to be a cost effective investment. The idea is rather cool though, and there is no doubt we have the technology to create this but at what cost? To make the screens I am sure it will cost more per screen that what the magazines will bring in sales. There is also the question of if these screens can break down once they are thrown out... or maybe be recycled.
Taking this a step farther than I think it was meant to be, with all the e-books and devices like the Kindle (Amazon) and Nook (soon to come out from Barns and Nobel) what if these futuristic magazines were updated view wifi when new issues came out? Making it last longer to cut back on rescores used to make the screens and so forth.

Just a thought.
